Permanent Gypsy, Roma and Traveller sites
We have six permanent Gypsy, Roma and Traveller sites in County Durham.
Contact us for housing advice by phone - call 03000 268 000 - or by email housingsolutions@durham.gov.uk. At this time we're not able to provide advice face to face. Complete our online form to tell us you are at risk of becoming homeless or contact us as as soon as possible, if you feel that you are at risk.
We are committed to provide and manage the pitches on our permanent sites to enable Gypsy and Traveller families to live in caravans / mobile homes.
We support the role of the site warden by making sure that the communities are able to live in quiet enjoyment of their mobile home.

Apply for a pitch
You can apply for a pitch if you are aged 16 or over, you have a caravan or access to a caravan and meet the eligibility criteria. Pitches are allocated in line with our Gypsy Roma Traveller Policy which sets out what factors will be taken into account when deciding who should get priority access to a pitch.
