On Saturday 2 December 2017, Small Business Saturday is a national campaign aimed at encouraging people to shop locally and support their local businesses.

Help support your local traders by coming to one of the events arranged around Small Business Saturday on 2 December - or throughout December, which aim to support high streets across the country by encouraging people to shop locally. 2 December (after 10.00am) and after 3.00pm throughout December
To help support local businesses, we're offering free parking at all council-run Small Business Saturday from 10.00 am on Saturday 2 December. There will also be free parking after 3pm throughout December at all Durham County Council car parks and on-street parking in Durham city.
