Proposal to merge Cotsford Infant and Cotsford Junior schools

Find details of a proposal to merge Cotsford Infant and Cotsford Junior schools into a single primary school on the existing premises of Cotsford Junior School and Horden One Point Hub from 1 September 2019.

Why has this been proposed?

We are aiming to move towards a model of 'all through' primary schools instead of separate infant and junior schools where it is practicable to do so. All schools must be viable and sustainable for the long term so that they can provide a good quality education.

In line with this strategic objective, we are consulting on a proposal to merge Cotsford Infant and Junior Schools into one primary school (age 4-11) on the existing premises of Cotsford Junior School and Horden One Point Hub from 1 September 2019. Merging the schools will lead to a larger and more viable education establishment.
