Meadowfield Leisure Centre is inviting people to get moving to the sensational swing songs of the 1920s, all the way up to the 1950s, with its new SwingFit class.

SwingFit is a chance to get lively through fun, low impact movements.

The first class on Thursday 9 May at 10.30am is free to attend.

All following classes in May will cost £3, subsidised by our Ways to Wellbeing programme which aims to support adults to improve their health and wellbeing. Classes will go to the normal price of £5 in June.

Helen Tones, our physical activity co-ordinator, said: "Bringing in new classes that appeal to all ages and activity levels is really exciting. People can come along and give it a go for free, which is a great way to get active and also to meet new people."

Joo-Lee Stock, founder of SwingFit, said: "I'm so excited to launch these new classes, and I've seen first-hand how they improve the health and well-being of every person who loves to dance."
