Community Action Scheme's current project


The Community Action Team (CAT) is working to tackle a range of local housing and environmental problems in different areas of County Durham. Find out about our current project in Ferryhill Station.

Ferryhill Station

We will be delivering an 11 week programme from Monday 20 January 2020.

The map shows approximately 500 properties in Ferryhill Station from Gladstone Terrace, the High Street and Morrison Terrace at the top of the map, down to Surtees Terrace and Cochrane Terrace in the South.

Resident engagement events

We will be hosting resident engagements events on:

  • Wednesday 22 January at the Mainsforth and District Community Centre (aka The Institute) from 10.30am to 11.30pm
  • Monday 27 January at The Royal British Legion, Linton Terrace from 4.30pm to 5.30pm

Residents, landlords and businesses are welcome to attend and tell us about their concerns and help us set priorities for our programme in Ferryhill Station.

Resident walkabout 

Residents are also invited to join us for a joint partner and resident walkabout from 11.00am to 12noon on Thursday 27 February, meeting outside of The Royal British Legion, Linton Terrace.

Weekly surgery sessions

All residents are invited to drop-in and speak to us about the project and report any issues of concern at our weekly resident surgery sessions which will be held on:

  • Tuesday 11 February at the Mainsforth and District Community Centre (aka The Institute) from 10.30am to 11.30am
  • Tuesday 18 February at The Royal British Legion, Linton Terrace from 10.30am to 11.30am
  • Tuesday 25 February at the Mainsforth and District Community Centre (aka The Institute) from 10.30am to 11.30am
  • Tuesday 3 March at at The Royal British Legion, Linton Terrace from 10.30am to 11.30am
  • Tuesday 10 March at the Mainsforth and District Community Centre (aka The Institute) from 4.30pm to 5.30pm
  • Tuesday 17 March at at The Royal British Legion, Linton Terrace from 10.30am to 11.30am
