Business Energy Efficiency Project (BEEP)

With support from us and the European Regional Development Fund, BEEP provided a fully funded and independent audit to identify where financial savings can be made. The project also provided SMEs with funding to help reduce the costs of energy efficient installations.

Through the project's lifespan, over 500 local businesses where supported contributing towards the countywide net zero target 2045, by reducing carbon emissions by over 1500t.

The project is currently being reviewed and developed to make sure more County Durham based businesses can be helped to reduce their carbon footprint and energy costs.
