You can borrow ebooks, eaudiobooks, emagazines, enewspapers and ecomics free of charge. Fines will not be charged while this is in place.

With Library Online you get free access to a range of websites including British Standards Online, Oxford Dictionary of National Biography, Grove Music Online, Who's Who, Encyclopaedia Britannica Online, emagazines, eaudiobooks and ebooks.

As a member or a guest

You will be able to search our online catalogue for books and audiobooks (spoken word), emagazines, enewspapers and ecomics.

As a member

You can:

  • reserve items you find on the catalogue
  • renew items you currently have on loan. If there is a problem - for example an item is wanted by another user - the system will tell you that it cannot be renewed
  • record (or change) your email address - we can then inform you of the availability of requested items and send you an electronic reminder as soon as items you have on loan become overdue
  • book one of our public access internet PCs in any of our libraries
  • download ebooks, eaudiobooks, emagazines, enewspapers and ecomics
  • find out when and where the mobile library stops
