Teesdale AAP priorities

Every two years we give local people the opportunity to vote for the priorities that they think we should take action on and on where we should focus our funding and resources.

We are updating our AAP Facebook page with any local information regarding the coronavirus. This includes changes to services or support in your area.

We use the results of the vote, statistical information (you can view this on Teesdale AAP - profile) and local knowledge to make a decision on what our priorities should be for the coming year. If you want to see a detailed breakdown of the results from the most recent vote, contact us.

Once we set our priorities, we use these priorities to help us decide where we should look to take action and allocate funding.

Current priorities

Teesdale AAP's current priorities are:

Health and Wellbeing

This group looks to help and develop projects that will support the Health and Wellbeing of local people.

Children, Young People and Families

Transport and access to activities, education and jobs are key to this project group. Tackling any issues relating to mental and physical health are also important.

Older people

A higher than average proportion of the residents in the Teesdale area are older.  Access to services, health care and social activities can sometimes difficult.  There are many community organisations in Teesdale to support older people.

We will review these priorities in early 2020.

Task and finish groups

We take actions on issues linked to our priorities. To do this, we have priority task and finish groups. These groups are made up of board and forum members and representatives from relevant partner organisations.

At task group meetings, we identify and discuss issues linked to our priorities, and we consider project ideas and requests for funding linked to these issues. If we want to progress any project ideas, we then send them to the board for approval.

If you're interested in getting involved with one of the task and finish groups or would like to discuss an idea you may have for a project, contact us.
