Gypsy Roma Travel (GRT) Education service

Some members of the GRT Education team are to be moved into a wider SEND team role. We are carrying out a targeted consultation with the GRT community through direct contact with GRT families, home educated families, and services and voluntary organisations who support GRT communities in County Durham.

The feedback we receive will help us to understand the impact of the proposed change to service users and what we need in place to continue to provide a quality service to GRT families. A decision will be made by Children and Young People's Services by September 2021.
