Falls Prevention training

Who the course is for

This course is ideal for anyone who works in Health and Social Care.

Learning methods

The course is delivered virtually via Microsoft Teams by the Community Falls Team.

 It is one session over approximately 1 hour 30 minutes allowing time for questions that may arise during the session, you will complete an interactive quiz which participants will require access to a smart phone.

What you will learn

By completing this course, you will understand:

• How to prevent falls in older people.
• Risks that can contribute to falls.
• Methods to reduce falls risks.
• How to reduce hospital admissions, reduce visits to hospital and reduce injuries sustained from falls promoting safe mobility.
