Help for parents
If you're a parent of a young child, we offer advice and support on many aspects of parenting, such as behaviour, eating and sleeping, going to school and special educational needs or disabilities.
Contact one of our Family Hubs for more information about the support we provide and the courses we run - Find out what's on at your nearest Family Hub.
We want to work with you to ensure that your child is happy and healthy, and to tackle any problems that might affect their learning and development. The support we provide includes advice on:
- bedtime routines
- getting ready for school, including the importance of a healthy breakfast
- help with setting boundaries, or putting rules in place
- any issues that your child is experiencing, that's stopping them going to school
- family relationships
- support for children with special educational needs
If you want help with any of the above - or any other issues you're experiencing, please contact us.
Team Around the Family (TAF)
Every family has its ups and downs and sometimes you or your child/ren may need extra support. An assessment can help us to find out what support your family needs, as well as what is working well for you. We call this a single assessment. It allows us to share information with the services that can help you, meaning you only have to tell your story once. We have a Single Assessment and the Team Around the Family (TAF) - A guide for parents and carers (PDF, 368 KB).
