Occupational Health and Safety training

Under health and safety legislation, an employer is required to provide information, instruction, training and supervision as necessary to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health and safety at work of their employees.

Why is this training important?

Employers are responsible for providing safe and healthy workplace conditions with the right systems and methods for safe activities.

Employees also have a vital part to play. They need to be aware of their own safety and the safety of customers, contractors and the public.

They need the right knowledge and the right attitude which demands proper training in the basics of health and safety, as well as specific training for individual tasks.
