This page details the income received for enquiries about property/land charges.

2017-18 Financial Summary

The total income received by Durham County Council in the financial year ending 31 March 2018 from charges made under the regulation 8 of The Local Authorities (England) (Charges for Property Searches) Regulation 2008 was £392,607 for 2,915 search requests.

2018-19 Financial Estimates

The estimated costs of providing the Land Searches function in 2018-19 is £369,934. New questions were introduced on the 4 July 2016, so a review of the income and the number of search requests received in previous years has been undertaken. It has been determined that unit charges for searches should remain at 2017-18 levels. The full list of charges for searches is available:
