Have your say on the new active travel route in Newton Aycliffe
We wanted to hear how you had been using the new routes in Newton Aycliffe that we hope are increasing opportunities to walk and cycle for everyday journeys,
Background
The government made funding available to help and encourage more people to travel on foot and by bike, particularly during the Covid-19 pandemic. We secured funding for a scheme in Newton Aycliffe at A167 Moore Lane to St Cuthbert's Way and Aycliffe Village to offer increased walking and cycling space.
The two kilometre footpath and separate cycle route which now forms part of the Great North Cycleway, aims to help people to walk and cycle to work, school, to do their shopping and to take exercise by walking, running or cycling for pleasure. It was completed in May, and we are now keen to find out how you have been using the new route.
Have your say
We wanted to know how you have used the new cycle and walking routes so that we can plan future schemes well.
The deadline for feedback was 5.00pm on Sunday 10 July 2022.
