Vaccination and immunisations

Immunisations reduce the risk of infections and diseases. To help you to understand the vaccines offered in the UK and when to have them, see NHS vaccinations. It also explains how they work and why they're safe and important.

There are many immunisations available such as flu, Covid-19, shingles, pneumonia, children and young people's immunisations programmes.

Vaccines can also be given to people at risk such as tuberculosis (TB), hepatitis B and chickenpox.
