Newly qualified adult social workers

Once qualified as a social worker, you become a Newly Qualified Social Worker (NQSW) and undertake your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE).

To help you make the transition from student to social worker we offer a mixture of one-to-one, action learning in small groups and classroom opportunities for you to learn, grow and blossom. We also have enhanced practitioners in teams who can provide mentor support.

Our AYSE programme assesses by observation, feedback and a review of your electronic portfolio at 12 months, our programme has excellent retention rates, with staff progressing their careers as Approved Mental Health Professionals (AMHP), Best Interest Assessors (BIA's) and team managers.
