Baby and us (course)
'Baby and us' is an eight week course for parents or carers of babies under the age of nine months.
The course is led by parents (who have been trained by EPEC to become Parent Group Leaders) who understand your experiences.
The course will give you more confidence in your role as a parent by:
- helping you to bond and communicate with your baby, understanding your baby's cues and how to respond to them
- understanding the impact of the experience you had during the birth
- learning how to stimulate your baby using singing, touch and physical play
- helping you to understand your baby's temperament
- helping you to understand your own, your baby's and your partner's feelings and how these can impact on each other
- understanding your baby's crying, sleeping, feeding and to feel more confident managing your baby's routine
- helping you to strengthen your relationship with your partner or co-parent
- helping you make friends with other parents who can support you
Before the course you will need to attend an introduction session.
