Environmental education

We offer environmental education sessions to schools, youth groups and community groups free of charge.

Tidy Ted with brush

These sessions focus on litter, dog fouling, flytipping and graffiti and are often part of our civic pride campaigns.

Tidy Ted

We have more information on sessions with our anti-litter mascot, Tidy Ted, including how to arrange a visit to your school.

Responsible dog owner assembly

Assembly sessions provide a discussion of responsible dog ownership and the problems caused by irresponsible dog owners. It also includes a visit by our anti-dog fouling mascot, 'Scoop' the dog. The assembly is suitable for Primary/Infant/Junior School years 1 to 6 (Key Stage 1 and 2).

Environmental crime session

A classroom based session teaches children what 'environmental crime' is addressing: litter, dog fouling, flytipping and graffiti. The session engages with children using discussion, PowerPoint slides and DVD clips. Lessons can be tailored to groups aged from 5 years to adult, and can last from 30 minutes to one hour long.

Please Contact Civic Pride if you would like to book educational sessions or if you'd like further information. We also have a selection of lesson plans and equipment to loan which can support you to deliver your own classroom activity.
