Talented and experienced, our Internal Audit and Corporate Fraud team is one of the largest in Local Government.  The team provides risk-based and objective assurance, advice, and insight regarding the management of risks within the Council. They also play a key role in the prevention, detection, and investigation of fraud. 

Roles include: Principal Auditor, Auditor, Fraud Manager, Insurance Claims and Advice Officer.

Our Business Support teams provide essential business support to the whole of the Council.  Business Support colleagues are proactive, forward-thinking and solution focused.  By streamlining processes and maximising digital opportunities, the teams are essential in ensuring the effectiveness of the Council.

Roles include: Administrative Officer, Business Services Hub Manager.

Our professional, dynamic, and innovative procurement team manage the third party spend of the Council, ensuring efficient, effective and sustainable contract solutions are implemented for delivery of a range of goods, works and service across County Durham.
