Men's Pie Club

Life is not always easy, but making pies is. Getting together for a pie and a chat is the perfect way for us guys to get out of the house and look after our physical and mental health.

If we were using fancy terms, we'd say it's about tackling isolation and improving social connectedness. And it is, but it's also just about baking pies and making friends. So if you're a dad/male carer who lives alone, feels alone, or just needs an excuse to get out more why not come along. There's no stress and no pressure. Just a bit of cooking.

It's not just about the pies. It's about the guys making the pies. We're here for a chat just as much as a scran. So, it doesn't matter if you're a baking-beginner or a pastry-perfectionist, Men's Pie Club is where you can come to get stuff off your chest and put something great in your belly.

Fortnightly club

At the fortnightly clubs you can get stuck in and make your own delicious pie. We even supply all the ingredients and know-how you need, with a Men's Pie Club organiser always on hand to help - usually the fantastic Lead Pie Men, who keep things ticking over.

Sometimes there's a few of us, sometimes there's ten of us. But there's always a warm welcome and a hot stove. So, the only thing you need to bring is a little bit of enthusiasm. After that, it's all about meeting other dads from your local area, having a laugh, and getting stuck into some tasty pies.

Our group will start up again on Thursday 27 March 2025 from 1.00pm to 3.00pm at Bishop Auckland Family Hub

Spaces are limited and on a 'first come, first served'. No previous cooking experience needed.
