Council insurance claims


If you have an accident on our premises, we will evaluate your claim on its merits.

If you believe you have suffered damage as a result of our negligence, you need to contact us.

Please include your full name, address, date of birth and national insurance number.

You'll also need to provide a full explanation and details of the incident that has occurred and any damage suffered. Where possible, this should include any photographic evidence, and if appropriate, two estimates of the value of work required. It is important that you provide the precise location of the incident and the date and time.

Fraudulent claims

All claims are thoroughly investigated, and we prosecute anyone found to have submitted a fraudulent claim.
