Dante's Inferno


In the Far East, between 1943 and 1945, the 2nd Battalion DLI was the only Durham battalion to fight as part of the 'Forgotten Army' against the Japanese Army in India and Burma. These Durhams fought in the savage battle at Kohima in 1944 to halt the Japanese invasion of India.
