Additional teacher training days

Schools also close for teacher training days during term-time. Dates are decided by each school and you should check your child's school website for the dates as these can often change.

• There are 192 days in the 2024/25 school year. Schools will close for two of these days for teacher training (known as PD days). They will also have teacher training on a further three days which they will take during school holidays or by using twilight sessions.
• There are 193 days in the 2025/26 school year. Schools will close for three of these days for teacher training (known as PD days). They will also have teacher training on a further two days which they will take during school holidays or by using twilight sessions.
