Learn number skills with "Multiply"


If you are aged 19 or over, the Multiply programme will offer you the chance to boost your confidence in maths through a wide range of short and fun activities.

Do you:

  • have a fear of maths?
  • feel like you can't do maths?
  • feel like maths gets in the way of being able to take part in activities, education or employment opportunities?
  • feel like maths stops you from keeping up with the kids or being able to help with homework?
  • struggle to manage your budget, especially as the cost of living rises?

Our 'Multiply' programme is here to help you.

The programme is run in partnership with local schools, employers, voluntary and community sector organisations, charities, colleges and training providers. We also have a team of Multiply Champions based in the community who we can't wait to introduce you to.

Budgeting Basics

Help to take control of your finances by understanding how budgeting works.

Family Finances

This session will help you manage your money and budget in daily family life to give you a helping hand to look after those pennies. A chance to share budgeting hints and tips with each other and learn about money saving hacks! Our Multiply Champion will offer support to build on your confidence in your maths development, come and join us and give it a try!

Fathers Making Maths Fun

Create fun ways to learn maths for you and your child; this can be through playing games, coding secret messages, or even using your hobbies. Come along and find out more about this course and have a fun time! 

Homework Help

Understand what your child is learning in maths lessons from Year 1 to Year 6. 

Maths hub

This course will help you to become more confident with number skills in everyday life. This is an open session to develop your numeracy skills and after completing this course you may wish to gain a recognised qualification in maths or progress onto another course of your choice and we will support you with this.

Primary Maths Techniques

Support to understand what your child is learning in maths lessons, from Year 1 to Year 6 so you can help with their homework questions. 

Super Spreadsheets for Beginners

Spreadsheets can be a great tool to help you understand your spending habits and is one of the skills employers are looking for.

Check your numeracy level

The Riddle.com: Take a quick numeracy quiz will help you to understand where you might want to improve your numbers knowledge. There are six multiple-choice numeracy questions, it will take around five minutes to complete, and you may use a calculator if you wish. The quiz will also explain how to get to the correct answer.

What's your numeracy like?

Not sure what your numeracy level is? Why not find out with a short quiz and get some quick tip with the National Numeracy Challenge which aims to give you an accurate picture of your everyday maths skills through a few simple to answer questions.
