Choose a grave

We appreciate that during, what will be a difficult time, you may have to make important decisions about the cemetery and grave you want for the funeral of a loved one. The following information will help you make your choice.

Normally, your funeral director will help you to make the necessary arrangements for buying a grave. However, some people may want to make their own arrangements.  Burials can take place on any weekday, except on bank holidays.

How to buy a grave

We can advise you on the available options. If you would like to view the section of the cemetery where the burial is to take place, before the funeral, we will arrange for a member of staff to meet with you at the cemetery.

Contact Bereavement Services to organise buying a grave.

Can I bury cremated remains in a cemetery?

Yes, cremated remains can be placed in purchased graves, but this burial must be organised in advance.

Please talk to your funeral director or Contact Bereavement Services to discuss any specific needs.
